Shot Down Sun was an American deathcore band from Haverhill, Massachusetts,
active between 2001 and 2008.
The band blended elements of metalcore and death metal,
delivering an intense, crushing sound that left a mark
on the underground heavy music scene.

The group was formed in November 2001,
initially drawing influence from alternative metal acts like
Spineshank, Sevendust, and Deftones.
they also had deftones covers on their early compilation album from 2002
Over time, their style evolved into a more aggressive deathcore approach,
making them a staple in the early 2000s metal scene.
this is a love letter to fans of the band, this ep never got a physical release,
and to most was lost to time.
